Terms of use
Last updated 1 October 2026.
These terms apply to Frostmark eReader, provided by NovaFrost Technologies. By creating an account you agree to them.
Your account
Keep your password private and tell us at support@novafrost.co.za if you think someone else has used your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use the app.
Your books
Frostmark eReader is a reader for books you already have. You are responsible for having the right to read and store every file you add. The app does not remove or work around DRM.
Building books from web pages
You may only build a book from a web chapter list if you own the content, or the site's terms permit personal offline copies, such as public-domain or openly licensed work. The app only fetches pages served openly to any visitor and never content behind a login, paywall or DRM. We record the source address and your confirmation with each book. Books you build are for your own personal reading and must not be shared or sold.
Plans and payment
The free plan includes the full reader and your whole library, with limits on linked devices, backup providers and web import. The paid plan removes those limits. Subscriptions are billed and renewed by Apple or Google under their terms, and you manage or cancel them in your store account. There is no advertising on any plan.
Acceptable use
Do not use the app to break the law, infringe copyright, overload other websites, or interfere with the service or other readers. We may suspend accounts that do.
Availability and liability
We work to keep the service running and your data safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available. Keep a backup in your own storage. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect loss. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act or other law that cannot be excluded.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app or on the account deletion page.
Changes and law
We will tell you in the app before material changes take effect. These terms are governed by the law of South Africa.
